A Selfless Spirit
The way of Jesus begins where self ends.
“In humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” — Philippians 2:3–4
Our world often teaches us to protect our position, promote our interests, and measure life by what we receive. Jesus shows us another way. His life reveals that true strength is expressed through humility, service, and love.
Living beyond self does not mean ignoring the value God has placed on your life. It means becoming secure enough in Christ to notice the needs of others. When our identity is settled in Him, we no longer have to compete for significance. We are free to listen, encourage, forgive, give, and serve.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show you one person whose burden you can help carry. It may be through a thoughtful message, a patient conversation, a practical act of kindness, or a sincere prayer. Small acts of obedience can reveal the heart of Christ in powerful ways.

A prayer for today
Father, thank You for showing me the way of humility through Jesus. Form in me a heart that notices others, serves with joy, and chooses love over self-interest. Help me carry the mind of Christ into every conversation and decision today. Amen.
